Waldemar Scherer is the Co-Founder of Swisscom Blockchain AG and leading the Enterprise Blockchain practice that targets projects with companies in various industries. After studying Business Informatics at the University of Reutlingen in Germany, he worked as a Management and IT consultant in the financial services sector and advised larger clients in the implementation of reporting solutions for internal use and external regulatory bodies. As a manager in the Performance Improvement Finance department at Ernst & Young Switzerland, he was in charge of one of the largest reinsurance companies in a global finance transformation program. Besides that, he was leading the “Garage Labs” innovation lab of EY Switzerland, that focused on technologies such as SAP HANA and Blockchain / DLT.
